Tongariro National Park in New Zealand

The park is located about 4 hours south of Auckland, it is a short drive and well worth it. There is a walk you can do in the park that is called the Tongariro crossing, it is described as the best one-day walk in the world and as much as I can say, it is true. The scenery is just exceptional. We were lucky to do the walk on a sunny day. The trail crosses the saddle between 2 volcanoes, some part of the walk are pretty arduous but the scenery is so breathtaking I would redo it any day.
